About Me
I am an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) with over eight years of experience supporting cybersecurity, network operations, and information assurance within Department of Defense (DoD) environments. My background spans roles in system administration, network engineering, and cybersecurity analysis, where I have consistently focused on strengthening system security, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with evolving security standards.
Throughout my career, I have developed a strong foundation in vulnerability management, risk assessment, and secure system design. I have hands-on experience conducting security assessments using tools such as Nessus and Fortify, implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and maintaining critical documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs) and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms). My work emphasizes not only identifying vulnerabilities but also delivering practical, mission-focused solutions that enhance organizational resilience.
I hold multiple industry certifications, including ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Security+, TCM Security Junior Penetration Tester, and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and I recently completed a Master of Professional Studies in Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations at Pennsylvania State University.
